stuff …
I have been really quite busy the last few days, sorting out stuff. Stuff always seems to build up and get in the way of the other stuff I need to do. So much stuff to do and so much stuff in the way before you can do the important stuff. Sounds funny after a while, stuff, if you read/say it enough. stuff.
here is some stuff I photographed using Polaroid over the last few days
Yesterdays and todays …
We went out for a walk last night and as it was such a nice evening I took my 680 as I was aware I had yet to put a post up so I was preparing to make a Polaroid for you.
As we were coming up the hill on the way back to our flat at the end of our walk, with no Polaroids taken yet, I spotted this…

Then as I was brushing my teeth before heading off to bedfordshire at about 12.30 I had an urge to get a Polaroid of these…
so this Polaroid was actually taken today, just very early today, before now anyway.
So there you have it, yesterdays and todays.
Went to North Berwick yesterday …
After a day of hard graft sitting in the flat whilst the sun was shining outside we decided to go get the train out to North Berwick for some Fish and Chips on the beach for tea.
I took these three on the train on the way out there.
more tomorrow …
Amuseme …
These four Polaroids were part of an exhibition I had in June 2007 in Edinburgh. They were taken in and around the beach resort of Portobello just outside of Edinburgh. At the time I was kind of obsessed with the sea side town, photographing it for both a university project and subsequently a personal project which resulted in the exhibition. Enough writing, look at the Polaroids …
I took some time off …
You may be wondering where the posts have been the last few days, you may have not, either way the simple reason for the lack of post is stated above. Its OK though as I only took time off from posting Polaroids, NOT taking them.
Heres a selection from the last few days …
I spotted this little fella a while ago, without a camera, I just so happened to go past him this weekend armed with my 680.
This is Nils Olav. He was not looking his best when I saw him, he is molting at the moment, still looks pretty cool if you ask me.
This was one of many broken old lobster baskets we passed on our way from North Berwick to Longniddry along the cost.
14 mile cost walk + first proper day of sunshine this spring = lobster sam
This is a partially eaten apple. Fact.
Good Friday?
We cleaned out our fish yesterday. We have had him for a while although never really had a name for him so he just got called him ‘fish’.
I caught him in a pint glass like I normally do before the cleaning begins and it was at this point that Anna said why don’t we call him ‘finger’?
“Finger” I said, “Why”?
Anna replied, “So we can call him fish finger”.
Here is Fish Finger waiting for his clean bowl.
Optimistic leaves…
I like to think of these few leaves as the strong eager ones, desperate to get some light and to be seen whilst the rest of the plant has been locked away behind the shutters.
These little fellas managed to get through, they fought against all odds and made it into the light, a metaphor for optimism if you like … or perhaps they just got caught up in the shutters when someone closed them.
You decide.
